Dec 2, 2008 · The FIX, add a ounce or less of ATF or motor oil to the jack. To effectively do this you need to hold the jack up by the end with the FIXED wheels. Then remove the smaller of the 2 plugs in the bottle jack and add a very small amount of oil. Replace the plug and your set. I purchased this jack for $20 because it wouldn't rise to full height. Check out the video for the cheap, easy and quick fix. Harley sells adapter kits for lifting a dyna, that would be the easiest way. You can fabricate one using anything in the garage really to make it work with your jack. Not the Sears jack but Husky from Home Depot which is basically the same. The regular one has a 5" clearance and works well, the aluminum one says it has a 3.5" clearance, but thats only AFTER you file the holes in the arms to let the front down to 3.5.
