The main difference is the Softail "B" motors have 2 balance weights that are driven by the crank. Typically the "A" motors make a few more ponies, but the difference is very minimal. As expected it is almost a drop in affair with a few differences. First. You HAVE to swap the stator assembly. The road kind uses a high output stator which is a lot wider. Also the harness is different. Either swap the old sensors and harness or re pin the road king harness.
